Upon entering the elegant flooring emporium at Naples Flooring, one is instantly aware that this is no ordinary showroom. Located at the corner of Fifth Avenue South and 41st Street in Naples, the address alone announces that you are in a stylish neighborhood. Wide plank white oak floors glisten in an array of patterns that you could easily get floored by. Luckily, any member of the Naples Flooring team can help you walk the wide planks to find the flooring of your dreams.

Cristian Longo talks with pride and passion about the company he and his wife, Laurie, built in the last five years. “Naples Flooring is a family-owned business that provides the best client experience,” he says, noting that when the couple opened the company it had an employee count of two. Today, Naples Flooring has more than 50 employees.

The business is built around the high quality of the flooring they exclusively carry, Legno Bastone Wide Plank Flooring. A European enterprise, Legno Bastone was founded in the late 1800s. Arturo Guido and his children, Frank and Tiffany, are the fourth and fifth generations to carry on the tradition of careful craftsmanship and uncompromising quality.

“Clients today want high-quality products that are green and have no emissions and formaldehyde,” says Longo. Legno Bastone proudly states that it sources raw wood from the best forests in Europe, which have been nurtured for generations for the benefit of society and the environment. They curate trees that are more than 150 years old and have been impeccably cared for throughout their lives.

“We are proud to be the official gallery for Legno Bastone Wide Plank Flooring,” Longo continues, noting that it is truly one of the nicest galleries in America. “Flooring is a canvas for the home and often one of the first elements designers and builders select. Our team understands the importance of customizing a floor that reflects the homeowner’s style and preferences. There is a lot of decision making that goes into finding the finest flooring, including selecting color, texture, plank width and design.”

One of the benefits of working with the team at Naples Flooring is that staff receives ongoing training and all services are in-house. Longo notes that Legno Bastone demands the highest standards and prohibits the use of subcontractors. “Everyone on our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional service. Our site inspections include analyzing traffic patterns and layouts with builders to create the best possible flow,” says Longo.

The gallery displays intricate work, using patterns like chevron, herringbone and Versailles to create magnificent designs. At press time, Longo was working on a home that resembles a French château, with a lot of herringbone and borders.

Clients will find a wide variety of choices in the extensive galleries at Naples Flooring. A new collection, called Vino by Legno Bastone, features woods with names like Chianti, Pinot Grigio and Prosecco while the European Elegance line is named for iconic European locales, such as Barcelona, Portofino and Roma.

Clients will be delighted to learn that Longo will be opening a second gallery and service center this spring on Third Street South in Naples. “We want to better service our designers and clients who live near Aqua Lane Shores and Port Royal. We welcome everyone to come to visit our galleries to see for themselves the beauty of our flooring. You really can’t just glance on your iPhone to experience Naples Flooring. You have to come in and walk the plank,” says Longo.
